Renewals and commission

Track recurring revenue, never miss a renewal, and pay commission from what was won.

Recurring revenue and renewals

When an opportunity with monthly, quarterly or yearly items is won, ZyfrHub starts a subscription for that customer. Set the contract length on the opportunity (Contract length in the sidebar); otherwise your default is used.

Ahead of the end date (60 days by default) the owner gets a renewal opportunity with the same items and a notification. Win it and the subscription renews for another term; lose it and it's recorded as churn. You can also start a renewal early from the subscription.

Settings › Renewals sets how far ahead renewals are created, the default contract length and which pipeline and stage they start in.

Reports › Recurring revenue shows monthly recurring revenue (MRR), annual (ARR), your renewal rate, churned MRR, what's coming up for renewal in the next 90 days, and a 12-month trend.

Commission

Commission is part of the Pro plan.

Plans

In Settings › Commission, create a plan and assign it to each rep.

  • Rate: a percentage of the opportunity's value, or of its margin (value minus cost).
  • Accelerators: once a rep passes a share of their monthly target, later wins that month earn a higher rate. For example, 8% normally and 12% from 100% of target.
  • Recurring items count as a number of months' worth (12 by default), so a $100/month service pays commission on $1,200.
  • Optionally a different rate for products, services or bundles.

Targets come from Goals (monthly, or a third of quarterly) and are ramped for new reps.

Splits

When two people worked on an opportunity, open it and use Credit split to share it (for example 60/40). Splits must add up to 100%. Without a split, the owner gets all of it.

Monthly statements

On Reports › Commission, choose the month and Create statements. Each rep's statement lists every won opportunity, its basis, their share, the rate and the commission.

  • Add adjustments (a bonus, a clawback) while the statement is a draft.
  • Approve, then Mark paid once it's gone through payroll. Recalculating only updates drafts, never approved or paid statements.
  • Export CSV for payroll or your accountant.

Reps see their own statement, plus a running estimate for the current month.
