Go to Import data (from the Import button on Contacts, Organizations, Opportunities or Leads).
Recommended order
Import organizations, contacts, leads, opportunities and products first, then their history: activities, notes and opportunity products. Later files link to earlier ones.
From another CRM
Pick where the file is from (Pipedrive, HubSpot, Salesforce or Zoho) and we'll show you how to export from that system and recognise its column names.
- Keep the ID columns. Every CRM exports an ID for each record. We use them to link notes, activities and line items to the right opportunity or contact, and to update records on a re-import instead of duplicating them.
- Excel or CSV both work. If a workbook has a cover sheet, we skip to the sheet with the data.
Match values
After matching columns, you'll see each owner, stage, status and activity type found in the file, with our best guess. Pair people with teammates, map stages to yours (or add them as new stages), and mark closed stages as won or lost.
Good to know
- Imported records don't trigger automations, webhooks or calendar invites.
- Original created dates, won and lost dates and note dates are kept.
- Rows we couldn't import can be downloaded with the reason, fixed and imported again.
- Undo: Import data › Recent imports › Undo removes what an import added and restores what it changed. Records someone has worked on since are kept.
